I watched her go through life. I watched her struggle. I watched her thrive. I watched her mother her babies. She’s been there through some tough times and helped me power through my own shit.
And today I got to watch her grab that diploma after busting ass.
I’m so proud of you babe. And I cannot wait to have you in shop making those lines, cleaning those parts, and making people feel beautiful.

It wasn't right and I had to go back 3 weeks later and have it done again. Im only 33. This set of dreads means that I am strong, I have overcome, and I will continue to grow and get better 🤞🤘”

“About 5 years ago I officially acknowledged the start of my spiritual journey of discovering who I am and what I believe in. For so long I was locked in a very specific way of behaving and presenting myself in order to fit in to who I was raised to be. When I let go of who I was molded into I experienced so much growth physically mentally and spiritually. A growth that I now know is never ending and constantly evolving. With that being said I believe we hold a lot in our hair whether that be emotions.. trauma.. identity.. and I find that to be very true for myself. One night I found a beautiful article about spiritually and hair and as I dove more into it I found that so many cultures and religions have worn dreadlocks as a way to acknowledge their spiritual journey and as a symbol of shedding the material world in order to connect back to Mother Earth. I instantly felt drawn to this journey and over the years Ive felt more and more led to pursue this physical representation of what I have achieved and continue to grow in spiritually. My hair has grown with me and it was time to lock it in and feel the impact of who I was versus who I am now. I am so grateful for the knowledge and guidance exuding from Erika and Desarae along with the genuine excitement for me and my hair during the start of my dreadlock journey! I can’t express my gratitude for them and their energy enough. “

I referred my partner to go see her for a few maintenances, but I was following her page for 6-8 months before I referred him! Now we will be lifelong customers, she is amazing at what she does! I got a full head of dreads with extensions from the amazing Erika this year!! I started with a half of a head in March and graduated to the full head in august! I am obsessed! I have wanted dreads for about 13 years now but I was always so worried about getting them done wrong and not liking them, well when I saw Erika’s work I just knew I had found the right place.
